Background
Lynn Walsh is an IAF Certified Professional Facilitator, she facilitates workshops across all sectors and organisations, strategic and business planning sessions and community meetings.  Lynn brings a collaborative style to her work and is passionate about helping people to understand each other.  Her clients describe her as authentic, constructive, balanced, creative, fun and committed to their success.


Lynn specialises in facilitating for people who want to get together for an ‘out of workplace’ experience.  In collaboration with her clients, she designs and facilitates activities that enable conversations, play, focus and reflection, providing a safe and respectful space to step over the edge and see what happens.


Lynn has facilitated workshops and meetings across Australia, Papua New Guinea and the USA.


She brings over 20 years of strategic, operational and management experience across all sectors to her facilitation work.  A graduate of the University of Queensland and post-graduate of Charles Sturt University, she is a skilled project manager, strategic planner and change manager with career experience across Commonwealth, State and Local government.


Lynn was awarded the Public Service Medal in the 1999 Australia Day Honours for her establishment and delivery of a collaborative program that generated community driven urban space enhancements.


At Director and senior management levels in the ACT and NSW, Lynn managed large teams delivering front line services, policy and reform programs, organisational reviews and change projects.  She delivered communications and training programs, managed infrastructure projects and consultancies, and engaged productively with people across all fields and sectors.


She has delivered conference papers for the Australian Quality Council and Royal Australian Institute of Parks and Recreation and been a mentor in the Young Achievement Australia program.

 


Some examples of Lynn’s work are

  • Facilitated a series of workshops for Nautilus Minerals including community and stakeholder identification of issues, project benefits, development of a draft Environmental Impact Statement, strategies and communication plans.  Lynn worked in PNG, Australia and the USA with many different stakeholders including community leaders, oceanographers, microbiologists, marine biologists, geologists, government representatives, environmental scientists, the World Bank and CSIRO.
  • Facilitation multi party - Patients, practitioners and medical suppliers to determine client needs and priorities for a specific project.
  • Facilitation of meetings for the ATO and Defence Industries Australia where contract partners came together for reviews.
  • Facilitation of planning days – eg Spinal Cord Injuries Australia, Wollongong City Council,  Penrith Children’s Services.
  • Facilitation of team events – eg NSW Heritage Office,  Thorn Lighting,  Service Skills Australia, S C Johnson
